Ah LEGO and Dinosaurs what a fantastic mesh up...well to me it is anyway. So far LEGO have released many set based on the Jurassic Park/World movies and from the newly released Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom movie we have set 75933 T.Rex Transport.

The 609-piece set, which will set you back £59.99/$69.99/69.99€, contains three mini-figures. Two guards and Zia Rodriguez.

So lets start off with a look at the box art on the front and back. As per usual the design of the box is pretty eye catching. The escape feature is shown in all its glory as the T Rex can be seen escaping his captors. I'm pretty sure that this will really appeal to young and older fans browsing the shelves of their local stores.

The back of the box displays not only the play features but also how you can mix and match the various dinosaurs in the line.

Inside the box you will find 3 bags, a sticker sheet, two instruction booklets and the bagged T Rex.

The set comes with three new mini-figures and a baby dinosaur. Foe me the baby Dino looks very good and is well sculpted but i do wonder why it is a different color to the T-Rex.

Of the new mini-figures we have two generic security officers? Having not seen the movie i assume that these two work for some private business. Anyway both have single sided faces with one new print and one older generic one. One guard comes with a stud shooter weapon whilst the other one has an electric staff.

The last new mini-figure is Zia Rodriguez. Now this mini-figure really stands out in a crowd.

She features all new print with a double sided head. The legs are duel molded and look great, it is a shame that we don't get more mini-figures with duel molded legs as they can really add to the mini-figures look and overall appeal. Zia also comes with two syringes.

The first part of the set that you get to build is some sort of computer base or lab setup. Once again i have not seen the new movie and as such i am unsure of what this is. As the sticker shows a D.N.A display it must have something to do with the Dino's. The sides of this platform can be folded in but apart from that it offers nothing else of interest. I did expect this to also be able to be stored within or on the truck however that is not the case. Perhaps it is stationary in the movie and does not get moved around.

Now onto the most appealing reason to buy this set. Her we have the king of the Dino's a good ole Tyrannosaurus Rex! Our new T-Rex is the same mold as previous versions however it comes with an all new paint color and print and boy does it look a lot better than the last few versions. I have the pleasure of owning the olive green and brown versions and whilst both of those are good this newer version looks so much better. I particularly like the new print around the mouth.

The articulation is the same as the last versions which is fine as that is all you need. Any fan of Dino's and the T-Rex in particular will want this new bad boy.

Next up we have the new truck and trailer. The truck is of a pretty simple yet effective design, the scale is a lot smaller than some trucks LEGO has released and i'm more than happy about that. I for one hate seeing gigantically over sized vehicles in sets that are taken from movies etc. Though the cabin will only fit one figure as it comes, it would be quite simple to customize to seat two.

The trailer is a nice build also and LEGO has included a nicely built stand underneath it for when you want to remove it from the cab. As you can see below the stand can be pushed out from underneath so the the trailer will stand up without the cab. This is done so with a few Technic pieces.

Both sides of the trailer can be pulled down to allow easy access for you to insert the T-rex. The bars at the top can be hinged opened to help with the loading and unloading of the T-rex.

The only part of the trailer that i could possibly complain about is the fact that it does not open up at the back. Judging by the trailers for the movie that i have seen i would have expected the T-Rex to be loaded up from the back . But that's just a small complaint and one that will not bother me long term.

Whoever designed this set has done a great job of producing something that looks believable and would fit into most city lines size wise. When compared to the last attempt (75918 T-Rex Tracker) this is a fantastic improvement. I really like how the T-Rex can be placed within the trailer.....until he escapes of course. Come on we all know that will happen it's inevitable.

Final thoughts.

This set has a lot going for it from the great T-Rex to the believable-looking truck and three new mini-figs. Of which the new Zia mini-figure is a most have for this theme and for customizers like myself.

The mobile lab is a little useless but does offer Zia something to toy around with.

The baby Dino is rather nice and a welcome addition to anyone wishing for more of them. Overall this set is one of the best new Jurassic World ones that LEGO has produced and i feel that the price to parts ratio is better than some themed licensed sets out there.
